During the German occupation of World War II, the Deutsche Reichsbahn also controlled the Luxembourg railway network. The Deutsche Reichsbahn took over the operation of the Luxembourg railways, including the Prince Henry Railway, and the railway lines were incorporated into the Reich. After the war, the Luxembourg railway network was reunited in the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL).
